Common Names: Che Qian Cao, Che Cha Cao, Qing Cha Cao, Ta Bu Si, Ha Po Cao, Wu Tiao Gen, Ye Tian Cai, Qian Guan Cao.

BOTANICAL:

来 源： 为车前科植物车前Plantago asiatica L.或平车前Plantago depressa Willd. 的干燥全草。

植物特征： 多年生草本，高 10 ～ 30cm ，光滑或稍有毛。根狀莖短，有多數鬚根。葉基出，叢生，直立或展開；葉柄幾與葉片等長，基部擴大；葉片寬橢圓形或卵形，長 4 ～ 15cm ，寬 3 ～ 9cm ，有 5 ～ 7 條平行的弧形脈，邊全緣或有不規則的波狀淺齒。夏、秋間開淡綠色小花，花葶數條，從葉叢中抽出，有縱稜；穗狀花序長可達 20cm ；每花有 1 三角形宿存苞片；花萼基部稍合生，萼片 4 ，花冠管卵形，先端 4 裂，裂片三角形，向外反捲；雄蕊 4 個，花藥先瑞有三角形突出物；雌蕊 1 個，花柱有毛。蒴果卵狀田錐形，近中部周裂；種子細小，但在同屬植物的種子中算是比較大的， 4 ～ 9 粒，徑 1 ～ 2mm ，黑褐色。商品習稱 " 大粒車前 " 。

生药材鉴定： 车前 根丝生，须状。叶基生，具长柄；叶片皱缩，展平后呈卵状椭圆形或宽卵形；长6～13cm，宽2.5～8cm；表面灰绿色或污绿色，具明显弧形脉5～7条；先端钝或短尖，基部 宽楔形，全缘或有不规则波状浅齿。穗状花序数条，花茎长。蒴果盖裂，萼宿存。气微香，味微苦。

Pharmacology

化学成分: 種子含多量粘液質，為由右旋 - 木糖 (D-xylose) 、左旋 - 阿拉伯糖 (L-arabinose) 、右旋 - 半乳糖醛酸 (D-galacturonic acid) 、左旋 - 鼠李糖 (L-rhamnose) 及右旋 - 半乳糖組成的均勻膠狀液。此外，尚含車前烯醇酸 (plantenolic acid ， C 5 H 8 O 3 ) 、琥珀酸、腺嘌呤、車前糖、膽鹼等。全草含車前 苷 (plantagin ， C 21 H 20 O 15 ? 5H20) 、桃葉珊瑚 苷 (aucubin ， C 15 H 24 O 9 ) 、烏索酸 (ursolic acid) 、β - 谷甾醇、正卅一烷 (n-hentriacontane) 等。
