BOTANICAL:

南嶺葑蕘花 南嶺蕘花

来 源: 为瑞香科植物南岭荛花Wikstroemia indica (L.) C.A.Mey.的根。

植物特征: 小灌木,高达1m,全株光滑。茎红褐色,皮部富纤维。叶对生,纸质,长椭圆形或倒卵形,长2~5cm,宽8~15mm;几无柄。花黄绿色,数朵排成顶生的短总状花序;花被筒状,顶端4裂;雄蕊8,2轮;子房椭圆形,顶部被毛,柱头大,近球形。浆果卵形,长约6mm,熟时鲜红色。花期5~9月,果期6~12月。

资源分布:生于村边、路旁、山坡灌丛中,主产广东、广西、江西、福建、湖南、贵州。

生药材鉴定: 根长圆柱形,弯曲,老根常有分支,长达40cm,直径0.5~3cm。表面黄棕色或暗棕色,有支根痕和不规则浅纵皱纹及横裂纹,老根有横长皮孔。质坚韧,断面皮部类白色,厚1.5~4mm,强纤维性,与木部分离,撕裂后纤维呈绵毛状。味微苦甘,而后有持久的灼热不适感。

 

 

Pharmacology

化学成分: 根皮含南荛甙(wikstroemin),并含荛花酚(wikstoeniol),牛蒡酚(arctigenin)、罗汉松脂素(matairesinol)和冷杉松脂酚(pinamoresinol)。根中分离4个具抗癌活性的物质,其中之一为双白瑞香素(daphnoretn);另从根中提出了哥王多糖体-1(WIP-1),平均分子量5000-6000,纸层析和薄层鉴定结果,WIP-1是由葡萄糖、阿拉伯糖、半乳糖醛酸、半乳糖和木糖组成,其摩尔比为28:6:2:1,单糖间的连接方式以α-(1→4)连接为主,其次是α (1→3)连接。

 

 

 

Efficacy

The effects of Chinese medicinal herbal drugs (CMH; Daphne genkwa, Wikstroemia indica, Croton oil) were studied for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) early antigen (EA) induction in established nasopharyngeal hybrid cells. Both ether and water extracts of CMH were found to have inducing activity. However water extracts of the same herbs were not as strong as that of other extracts. The EA positive-cell rate was from 18.2 to 42.2% in ether extracts and 1.0 to 3.8% in water extracts at 10 microgram/ml of the concentration. N-Butyrate alone showed a 40.2% positive rate and in the both treatment of water extracts, a combination effects was seen in induction of the EBV-EA. This in vitro system for the induction of EBV-EA was thought to be useful to determine what is the causal factors for activation of EBV in vivo. (source)

Bioassay-directed isolation of the antitumor extract of Wikstroemia indica (Thymelaeaceae) has led to the characterization of tricin, kaempferol-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, and (+)-nortrachelogenin as the major antileukemic constituents. In addition, daphnoretin was identified as the potent antitumor principle in vivo against the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma growth in mice. (source)
